    First Sherlock pretends to be Mycroft to get them onto the base with an ID he "acquired" long before, just in case then John uses his ID showing his rank of Captain to get "the full tour" from the corporal who challenges their being there. They sneak their way onto the Baskerville base and have a look around.

  • Bavarian Fire Drill: Sherlock and John manage to use two consecutively.
  • However, Major Barrymore's full beard is a nod to the original canon character on which he's based, John Barrymore, who is described in the book multiple times as being a "black-bearded man."
